Tough Questions(an ongoing interrogation of my thesis)

This page is where I am storing, rephrasing and starting to consider the questions that people have about the content of my thesis. These questions have been paraphrased, with about enough information as to remember where and when they originated.

Did/do the people chatting or shooting at Bilal during the performance consider Domestic Tension an FPS? Did they converse amongst themselves or was it solely directed at Bilal?

-Bart, November '10

What is the relationship between Bilal's performance and the space of Empire(Hardt & Negri)?
-Jean, November '10

Does Bilal consider himself a martyr? How does he feel about martyrdom?

As a piece of performance art what relationship to digital games does Domestic Tension really have? It simulates an FPS game, but can it be really considered a game? Is it game art (art that makes reference to or alludes to digital games) or is it an art game (a game that functions as a piece of art)? What does Domestic Tension bring to the discussion of mundane performance(the perceptible, naive activities of people) in contrast to spectacle( Activities performed with the intention of being viewed)?
